C.J. Mosley missed the majority of his first season with the New York Jets but he appears to be making positive progress in his recovery from an injury. With the offseason steadily approaching, Mosley is on track to be healthy for the team's offseason workouts.

Last offseason, the Jets signed Mosley to a five-year, $85 million deal; making him the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL at the time. Since then, Bobby Wagner was able to negotiate an extension with the Seattle Seahawks worth $54 million over three years.

After signing with New York, Mosley was able to suit up in the regular-season debut versus the Buffalo Bills. In his first game with the Jets, the veteran linebacker tallied six tackles and a pick-six before leaving the game with an injury.

Following New York's loss, it was discovered that Mosley suffered a groin injury. The versatile linebacker attempted to comeback in Week 7 against the New England Patriots after missing the previous four games. Unfortunately, Mosley reaggravated his injury in New York's lopsided defeat to the Patriots.

While contemplating surgery, Mosley was hoping to return to the field before the end of the regular season. But instead of risking further injury, Mosley chose to undergo surgery and was placed on injured reserve.

Recently, Mosley spoke with Jeane Coakley of SNY about how his surgery went and his progress thus far. The sixth-year linebacker has begun jogging and should be ready for the 2020 season. Hopefully, Mosley is able to maintain his health in his sophomore campaign with the Jets.
