Over the weekend, the New York Jets made the huge splash trade with the Indianapolis Colts moving up in the 2018 NFL Draft from the sixth overall selection to the third overall pick in a blockbuster deal. This has put them front office in the prime position to add one of the top quarterbacks in this year's draft class.

Among those possible promising talents that could be the Jets' targeted player is former Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen. With that in mind, the 21-year-old raved about New York being able to keep their high first-round selection in this year's draft, according to Manish Mehta of The New York Daily News.

Although there is no certainty that Allen will be the selection by the Jets, it's clear that he may have some desire to join the team if he is taken at the spot. At this point,  it is believed that either himself or Josh Rosen depending on what the New York Giants do at the pick will be available at the third overall pick.

Allen is a promising talent that has shown to have a strong arm and an ability to make the throws that will be necessary at the next level. He has the desired body frame for the position at 6-foot-5 and 233 pounds that should help him withstand the physicality at the next level. There have been questions about his accuracy throwing the ball along with his footwork that has been pinpointed as something he needs to improve upon.

There is still plenty of time for the Jets to determine who they plan to take, but it's quite clear that Allen has interest in being that selection.
