For the second time in less than a year, New York Jets second-year wide receiver Robby Anderson was arrested early Friday morning in South Florida on charges of reckless driving, resisting arrest, eluding police, and threatening a public servant.
According to a police report obtained on Friday by Darryl Slater of NJ Advance Media, Anderson was arrested and charged with two felonies and seven misdemeanors. Anderson was arrested at 2:15 a.m. by officer Jonathan B. Hennessy after he clocked the Jets wide receiver driving an SUV 105 mph in a 45 mph zone.
The police report also states that Anderson ran two red lights and “was all over the roadway” while eluding Hennessy. While in the back of Hennessy's police cruiser, the report says that Anderson bragged about how much money he had and made vulgar remarks about the officer's wife.
“While in the back of my patrol vehicle, Robert stated that when he got out he was going to find my wife, f— her and nut in her eye. He continued to make other verbal threats toward my family,” Hennesy wrote in his report. “Based on his statements it was clear that he intended to sexually assault my wife. He also began to brag about how much money he has and how all I was doing was trying to ‘Ruin his fun.'”
That's just really messed up and a pretty awful way to talk to another human being, Robby.
