Jamal Adams of the New York Jets proves that if you're not on the New England Patriots, you don't like the New England Patriots.

Animosity towards the Patriots is almost an Olympic-quality sport. But the Jets' strong safety was viewed as doing it “for the culture” when he tweeted out a video of him drilling the Patriots' mascot. He dedicated the video to “all the Patriots haters out there.”

Pat Patriot was the hapless and unwitting receiver of Adams' — and, by extension, the Jets' — ongoing rivalry with the team.

In the video, Jamal Adams can be seen shouting “I'm finna go knock this mascot out!” before hitting the unwitting victim with a rather heavy-looking tackle that looked as painful as it sounded.

Adams performed this heroic move for the culture at the Pro Bowl practice yesterday.

It didn't help Pat Patriots' case that the other people in attendance were booing him within an inch of his life — he was just trying to cheer on the team, after all — so watching Adams take him down got a great reaction from the crowd.

But Pat Patriot ended up getting the last laugh when he landed a smackdown of his own on Adams — right in the middle of the field.

Fortunately, Jamal Adams took it all in stride, and even seemed to laugh it off when it did, indeed, happen.

“Woo, you got me tired, bro!” the first-time Pro Bowler told Pat as the two called it a draw — at least for now.
