If you haven't had your fair share of Joel Embiid news this summer, these are perhaps the most significant ones. The 76ers rookie scored his first NBA basket against division rival Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

Embiid caught the ball in the low post, took a couple of dribbles and gave a little shoulder fake before hitting a fadeaway jumper at the heart of the paint over Tyler Zeller.

And if that wasn't enough for your Embiid fix, here's an emphatic block on fellow rookie Jaylen Brown who drove into the lane with bad intentions. Get that out of here, young fella!

Aside from his athletic ability, the 7-footer seems to have put the time in to hone his footwork during the past two years, which could ultimately earn him the starting position as a two-way center.
