One of the longest running jokes during Tim Duncan‘s illustrious career with the Spurs was that he was a robot. Duncan was so consistent throughout his career that it just seemed like he was a machine programmed to play basketball. Well, now that Duncan has retired, it seems like yet another Spurs All-Star is being compared to a robot.

Joking around with reporters on Thursday, Grizzlies coach David Fizdale said that since Kawhi Leonard has been so sensational against Memphis in the first-round, the Spurs All-Star must be a robot.

“[Kawhi Leonard] was standing next to me the other night, and he wasn't breathing” Fizdale said. “He wasn't breathing so I'm going to check the rule book and find out if robots are allowed to play in the NBA because Pop and them have figured out, they know something I don't know. I think he bleeds like antifreeze or something. This guy, he is special man.”

Fizdale was of course joking but Leonard has been quite consistently sensational against the Grizzlies in the first-round. In Game 1, Leonard scored 32 points and he followed that up with a 37-point, 11-rebound performance in Game 2.

Fizdale and the Grizzlies will look to slow down Leonard's robotic consistency in Game 3 on Thursday.
