The MMA world has been holding its breath and waiting to find out where Kayla Harrison will choose to fight next. There were three realistic options for her next as the PFL, UFC, and Bellator, all seemed very interested in her services.

Kayla Harrison had a lucrative offer on the table from Bellator but PFL matched the deal and Harrison will officially be back with the PFL in 2022. She has the opportunity to win the tournament again and score another cool million. The news was reported on Twitter by PFL founder Donn Davis.

“I’m happy the free agency is over and I have a fight on the horizon,” Kayla Harrison told The Post via text. “I’m excited to continue to grow and challenge myself and be one of the highest paid athletes in the sport.”

“I am also excited PFL is on board with helping me reach my goals of becoming the best and trying to acquire some of the biggest competition in the game to come and challenge me,” Harrison said. “I look forward to us making those fights happen and until then I have another belt to win.”

Kayla Harrison will still be on the radar of both the UFC and Bellator but they will have to wait after failing to get a deal done. The lightweight champion has always said she wants more competition.

Being back in the PFL will be good for getting Kayla Harrison more experience and could lead to her improving even more. A fight with Julia Budd will most likely happen now that the Canadian has been added to PFL.
