Kelly Clarkson has dropped a truth bomb about her weight loss and Ozempic.
As it turns out, she's not on the popular drug many other celebrities are on. That said, she's not dishing out precisely what it is that has worked for her after admitting to using a drug for weight loss, leaving a lot of fans scratching their heads.
Kelly Clarkson discusses using weight loss drug
Daily Mail reports that all this was discussed on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday. When chatting about what medication she was on, she was vague but did open up about it—to a point.
The whole conversation started when Clarkson told Whoopi Goldberg, her guest, that “you're like Benjamin Button.” Goldberg said back that it was due to weight loss and she “lost almost two people.”
Goldberg added, “I am doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help. And it's been really good for me.”
“Mine is a different on than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too,” Clarkson replied. “Everybody thinks it's Ozempic, it's not — it's something else.”
During their talk, she described not being one for drugs but decided to go that route by orders from her doctor.
“My doctor chased me for like two years,” the host continued. “And I was like, ‘No, I'm afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems.' I was afraid.”
They discussed their heaviest weight. At one point, Goldberg said she was 300 pounds. “My heaviest, I was like 203 [lbs]. And I'm like 5'3″ and a half,” Clarkson commented back.
Kelly Clarkson discusses her weight loss:
“Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic, it’s not, it’s something else. But it’s something that aids in helping break down the sugar, obviously my body doesn’t do it right… I didn’t see it [before I lost weight]… I was never insecure about it,… pic.twitter.com/HzCyg1oayk

Apparently, whatever she is on, it's “something that aids in helping break down the sugar.” She needs it because she states her “body doesn't do it right.”
According to CNN, Ozempic, which is the popular shot drug that Goldberg is more than likely referring to, is a medication that was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for those with type 2 diabetees. Celebrites, such as Oprah Winfrey, praise it for its results.
Last January, Clarkson stated to PEOPE that her walking more, eating right, and lifestyle changes were the major reasons for her weight loss.
“Walking in the city is quite the workout,” the singer said. “And I'm really into infared saunas right now. And I just got a cold plunge because everybody wore me down.”
“I eat a healthy mix,” she added. “I dropped weight because I've been listening to my doctor — a couple years I didn't. And 90 percent of the time I'm really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I'm a Texas girl, so I like meat — sorry vegetarions in the world.”
Whatever the case may be, what matters is it's a healthy option for Kelly Clarkson. If it's a drug like Ozempic — or whatever — it's her personal business. It's refreshing that it can be openly talked about so others can decide for themselves what might work best. That said, we are all curious to what exactly she is on…
