Kevin Lee is on the same boat as those that believe former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is the greatest of all time at his weight class. Many argue that current champion Kamaru Usman could eventually surpass him.

Former UFC lightweight Kevin Lee recently appeared on the Schmozone podcast and detailed what exactly Kamaru Usman would have to do to pass him. It's absolutely bonkers and has a very little chance of actually happening.

“I don’t like the people who do that though,” Former UFC fighter Lee said. “It’s GSP [Georges St-Pierre] all the way. Let’s get that out there. GSP, hands down, I don’t even think it’s possible for him [Kamaru Usman] to be it, unless he goes up to 205 [lbs] and fight Jon Jones. If he beats Jon Jones then I’m saying okay… If you go 205, you fight Jon Jones, you fight Jan Blachowicz, you fight Israel Adesanya or something, Alright, now we can talk. But before that I hate that.”

Kamaru Usman moving up to light heavyweight is not realistic in any sense. The UFC welterweight champion has been dominating in his weight class and even moving up to middleweight would be very complicated.

Kevin Lee has a very complicated future himself after being released from the UFC. The former interim lightweight challenger now finds himself with Eagle FC where he's expected to face Diego Sanchez at 165 pounds.

Kevin Lee may have changed weight classes but UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is very unlikely to change his. Currently, he is not expected to return to the cage until mid-2022 after sitting out for a bit.
