A popular debate amongst fans of combat sports is how fights might go if superstar fighters crossed over and faced off. Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of those superstars, and after seeing Conor McGregor take the boxing ring, some wanted Khabib to do the same.

Although “The Eagle” is a much more prominent wrestler, many fans wanted to know how he'd fare against the likes of Floyd Mayweather. “Money” Mayweather seems to be taking on anyone these days, as he faced off against Logan Paul in an exhibition match not too long ago.

According to Daily Mail, even though there is a noticeable mismatch, Khabib revealed he had been offered to fight Mayweather in a boxing match numerous times during an interview with Mike Tyson. Khabib claims he was offered “$100 million” to take on Mayweather, which would have been the biggest payout in his career.

The reason why Khabib Nurmagomedov turned the fight down though, is because he apparently believes that “receiving that amount of money for one fight is ‘dangerous' in this industry.” He might be onto something, as since receiving that amount of money, Conor McGregor has raised his persona to a new level. He consistently delivers personal attacks to get a rise out of his opponents and many believe McGregor is going too far with his tactics.

Nurmagomedov simply likes to fight. He doesn't seem like the type of person who wants a crazy amount of money. “The Eagle” has recently retired from the UFC and now works as a coach. He's been equally as impressive, as his fighters have won every single bout when he's in their corner.

A fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Floyd Mayweather is unlikely to happen, as Khabib seems comfortable with his new coaching gig. However, his manager Ali Abdelaziz claims that if Mayweather were willing to come to the UFC, then Khabib and his team would be open to a potential bout.
