Sacramento Kings star guard De'Aaron Fox had some footwear issues late in the game against the Portland Trail Blazers which almost cost them the game. Fox's size 12.5 sneaker almost stole the show for the Kings as the point guard lost his left shoe and fumbled the basketball with over thirty seconds left in the game.

It was a crazy sequence that started with Fox losing his shoe. The Kings were up by four points with the court general controlling the rock with 35 seconds left to play. And, as he drove hard to the basket, his shoe decided to pop out which ultimately caused him to slip and turn the ball over. Blazers' CJ McCollum was quick to pounce on the loose ball but, fortunately for Sacramento, Portland couldn't capitalize on the break.

The Kings would go on to hang on to a slim margin at the final buzzer, grabbing their first win of the season with a huge 124-121 road win against Damian Lillard and the rest of the Blazers. Fox, and his shoes, had a solid season debut with 27 points and eight dimes while teammate Harrison Barnes exploded for a career-high of 36 points on 8-11 shooting from deep.

Next time, we might need to make sure Fox's shoes are as tight as possible to avoid nerve-racking incidents like this. That being said, Fox does seem to be ready to roll this season – shoe or no shoe.
