Buddy Hield had plenty of praise for new coach Luke Walton, who has proved to be the antithesis of former coach Dave Joerger since taking over the helm of the Sacramento Kings. The fourth-year shooting guard dropped a career-high 41 points in a barn burner against the Boston Celtics, including a personal-best 11 3-pointers on Monday.

Walton wants Hield to take every shot he can take, instilling supreme confidence in his leading scorer. As for Hield, he just looks to keep the same aggression on the court:

“I tell Luke, ‘F**k that s**t,'” said Hield after a narrow 103-102 loss on the road, according to Jared Weiss of The Athletic. “I'm gonna do what I've been doing… I'm a basketball player and I know my game and Luke just helps (put) unbelievable confidence in me and as a head coach, you want that.”

“I respect him for that and say, ‘If you want me to shoot the ball, s**t, I'm gonna shoot the ball!' I'm not scared to shoot it. You already know, bro.”

Hield doesn't need to be told twice that he has the green light, as it is his shotmaking ability that has made him a prominent name in the league and even blessed him with a new long-term contract this offseason.

The 6-foot-4 sharpshooter out of Oklahoma is averaging 20.4 points and 4.4 rebounds through 16 games this season, shooting 39.6% from deep on nearly 10 attempts per night.
