Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield was fined $25,000 for kicking the ball into the stands after Sacramento defeated the Boston Celtics at home on Sunday.

Hield took to Twitter to react to his fine, replying to Shams Charania's tweet.

The Kings handed the Celtics just their second loss of the season. Hield was terrific in the win, finishing with 35 points, six rebounds and two assists.

The guard can afford the fine since he just signed a lucrative extension with Sacramento. It sounds like Hield is regretting not kicking the ball further  though since he was going to get fined regardless.

Without point guard De’Aaron Fox, who is out with an ankle injury, Hield is going to have to become the No. 1 scoring option for Sacramento.

The Kings are 5-7 on the season after defeating the Celtics. Hield, who signed a rookie-scale extension with Sacramento, is averaging 19.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists on the season while shooting 43.1 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from beyond the arc and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Sacramento hasn’t made the playoffs since 2006. Hield and Fox are eager to be the two youngsters who lead the Kings back to the postseason.

Wins like Sunday’s over Boston show just how talented Sacramento is. Once Fox gets back, the Kings have a good chance of securing a lower seed playoff spot in the West.
