The Sacramento Kings are on the unfortunate end of a rare Summer League suspension. Kings reserve Chimezie Metu threw a punch at Eugene Omoruyi of the Dallas Mavericks after Metu took a hard fall during Sunday's game.

Both players were ejected, and now Metu has received a one-game suspension, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Metu is hit with the discipline from the league, and this isn't entirely a surprise. The Kings reserve was having a nice showing in Las Vegas and is doing whatever it takes to earn more minutes for the young Sacramento group after he performed well for the Nigerian National Team in the Tokyo Olympics.

This isn't a good look for Metu, but the Kings are backing him and understand this is a rare incident for Metu to be involved with.

Metu will serve his suspension during the Kings game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday and he will look to put this behind him and continue his impressive play as of late, both in Las Vegas and in Tokyo for Nigeria.

A rare Summer League suspension and Metu got unfortunate flashbacks of the incident this past season involving the Memphis Grizzlies and Jonas Valuncianas.
