The Sacramento Kings blew yet another big first-half lead on Monday night as the New York Knicks handed them a second consecutive loss. In the process, newly-acquired Domantas Sabonis received the first ejection of his career with only 4:35 left in the fourth quarter. It took a whole 410 games for the former Indiana Pacers big man to get tossed, but following the contest, he was more worried about the Kings falling flat on their faces in the final two periods.

Via James Ham of ESPN:

“It was just a frustrating game,” Sabonis said. “I feel like we keep getting these leads playing the right way, and we just can’t come out in the second half and sustain it. It gets frustrating, especially when you’re fighting for position. … It’s been three or four games that we’ve blown a lead like that. It’s frustrating when you don’t win.”

The Kings went into halftime with a 15-point lead and ended up trailing by 23 at one point in the second half. They gave up a whopping 83 points in the third and fourth quarters. There was absolutely no sign of defense and the worst part is, the Knicks aren't exactly thriving this season, either.

Sabonis meanwhile, put together a rather decent performance, dropping 19 points while grabbing 13 boards and dishing out five assists. The Kings are now 24-43 on the year and 3-7 in their last 10 contests. It won't get any easier on Wednesday against a surging Denver Nuggets team.
