Sacramento King's GM Vlade Divac is known as quite the character. The former NBA veteran often makes personnel and roster moves that make one scratch their head. The dysfunction and poor culture within the franchise has been on display for over a decade.

Apparently, Divac had a conference call with his team's minority owners bashing them for their behavior.

Via an article by Sam Amick of the Athletic:

“According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Divac held a conference call with 13 members of the team’s executive board, along with Ranadive, and made this much clear: Stop with the meddling, bring an end to the alleged leaks in the media about internal matters, try enjoying the ride while it’s going so well and – cue Michael Jackson, circa 1987 – leave him alone as he tries to continue this turnaround. This was Divac, so roundly ridiculed as a front office executive for so long now, demanding respect.”

Divac has made a number of questionable moves in the past, including trading away DeMarcus Cousins after failing to build a winning product around him. But for now, the Kings have a bright future in the hands of De'Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Marvin Bagley.

Fox has shown in his sophomore year that he can be one of the NBA's best point guards. His ability to slither past defenders while hitting a roll man or a wide-open shooter is quite remarkable. Hield has been hitting jumpers from deep with ease, and Bagley has shown himself to be a formidable offensive weapon in the post.

The Kings are now 22-21 on the season and sit 10th in the NBA's Western Conference.
