The growing disconnect between Marvin Bagley III and the Sacramento Kings has been brewing for a while now. The latest flare-up occurred during their latest game against the Phoenix Suns, where Bagley reportedly disobeyed the orders of head coach Luke Walton.

According to a report from Kings reporter Sean Cunningham, Marvin Bagley was asked to enter the contest against the Suns but refused to do so.

Marvin Bagley's discontent with his place on the Kings is no secret. He was informed that he would not be included in the rotation to start the season, which led a rather pointed statement released by his agent Jeff Schwartz a few weeks back.

With the way the circumstances have played out, it's hard to imagine Bagley and the Kings being able to mend fences.

The team has committed to playing Richaun Holmes at the center spot and have even placed journeyman forward Maurice Harkless ahead of him in the rotation. If the Kings had him in their future plans, it clearly doesn't look like it at the moment.

It seems more than likely that Bagley and the Kings are headed towards a mutual parting of ways. He's still in his age-22 season and was seen as a highly-touted talent coming into the league. Teams around the league will definitely be willing to take a flier on him.
