Although the Woj bombs have slowed in recent weeks, they have yet to come to a halt. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sacramento Kings are signing Jamel Artis to a two-year deal.

It's unclear how much money the deal is worth and whether or not it is guaranteed, but Artis will have the opportunity to prove himself in training camp.

Artis played 15 games with the Orlando Magic last season—he even started one—and averaged 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. Artis spent a majority of his time with Orlando's G-League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic.

In 46 games in Lakeland, Artis averaged 19.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. The upside shown by Artis in the G League is likely what caught the attention of Sacramento. They are hoping that the 25-year-old shooting guard can take a big step forward this season.

The Kings have a crowded backcourt with a host of young talent. De'Aaron Fox will likely be the lead guard with Buddy Hield as the starting shooting guard. Yogi Ferrell, Ben McLemore, and Frank Mason III will back up the combo of Fox and Hield.

This leaves little playing time for Artis, but it's impossible to know how the season will shake out. Unfortunately, injuries happen so it's impossible to ever have too much depth.

Artis will get a shot to show head coach Dave Joerger what he can do, at the very least. Perhaps he can surprise some people and crack the rotation in Sactown.
