When it comes to Sacramento Kings veteran point guard George Hill, it's safe to say that his 2017-18 NBA season has not exactly panned out for him

After he originally signed a whopping three-year, $57 million deal with the Kings following a stint with the Utah Jazz, Hill admits that he's having trouble adapting to his new environment in Sacramento.

According to an article written today by Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee, Hill opened up about his tenure with the Kings and says this is not what he originally expected.

“Very frustrating,” Hill said. “I’ve never been through anything like this, not ever. It’s not what I expected, a little more difficult than I anticipated. I think as a team we all get along. We like being around each other, like doing things together. But we’re still trying to learn each other, and it’s a different style of play. I’ve just got to figure things out.”

Hill still says that he's willing to be a mentor to the Kings' young guns going forward, regardless of swirling trade rumors that involve him.

“Whatever they ask me to do is fine,” Hill said. “We’re trying to develop the young guys, get them on the court. You’re going to have bumps and bruises when you have so many young guys with only one year of experience or less. My thing is, when you play a team like the Spurs, learn to play the right way. They commit, they talk, they screen hard. They get into their man. Become better by learning.”

Where will Hill even end up before the trade deadline? At this rate, who really knows.
