The Sacramento Kings have developed an interest in two Orlando Magic cogs in franchise player Aaron Gordon and guard/forward Mario Hezonja, according to James Ham of NBC Sports California.

Gordon, who will be a restricted free agent in a few days, is expected to receive a succulent offer from the Magic. While the Kings are surely interested in him, they view him more as a power forward, a vision that clashes with their own, having drafted a power forward in Marvin Bagley III with the second overall pick.

Hezonja will be an unrestricted free agent heading into this offseason and has put his best year together, benefitting from injuries to Terrence Ross and Evan Fournier.

The 23-year-old averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, numbers that are bound to jump up with more playing time. His ties to franchise great Peja Stojakovic give him a leg up as a prospect to join this roster, especially with a relatively low price tag at $10-12 million for a two-year deal.

Hezonja is a shooter that can space the floor, as well as drive the ball and finish, thanks to his athleticism. There is plenty to like from a player that could flourish with more opportunity, one that coach Dave Joerger could provide over the course of next season.
