Klay Thompson is aching. Aching because he has been carrying a heavy load, and it's been weighing on him unseen.
Thompson has had some bad performances, but otherwise he's produced good, and even great, games throughout the 2016 NBA playoffs. On a few occasions, he has appeared to single-handedly carry his own load as well as MVP Stephen Curry’s, who has been much less than MVP-like this postseason.
Most players are banged up this time of the year, but they don’t usually want to reveal they are injured or nursing any kind of pains.
Each and every press conference after Thompson is finished answering questions, he’s in immediate pain as he gets up, and he has been spilling the beans on himself with every grunt and groan you may not have noticed.
