It is always a difficult time when any franchise is losing consistent games and right now that franchise is the New York Knicks. With losing the past nine straight games and 17 of the last 18 games, New York is slowly dropping to the bottom of the league which could result in a good draft lottery number.

However Enes Kanter of the Knicks is not worried about falling behind or tanking for the best possible draft number as he spoke to the media and told the truth of the organization not tanking at all.

In the video below, Kanter addresses the media regarding tanking.

It can be seen above that Kanter is very up front about this issue and is only here to play basketball. It makes common sense on Kanter's theory that they are playing him to win and not lose. As he continued to speak about the issue of tanking, a reporter asked if he angers him when fans are cheering after every loss in the aspect of tanking. Here's what he said.

“They can be happy about it, but they paid me money to win games. My mindset is to go out there and it does not matter if he face against the best or worst team. I did not come here to get a good draft pick, I came here to win some playoff games”

It's great to see players stand up for the team and focus on winning as some management secrets tend to get out more than they should. As for the New York Knicks they look to end their nine game losing streak against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night.
