After the New York Knicks ended a seven-year playoff drought last season, hopes were high coming into this one. However, what seemed like the franchise turning the corner now looks like it could merely be a flash in the pan as they've once again stumbled out of the playoff picture

The glimmers of hope for the New York Knicks franchise are so few and far between that when their moment in the sun arrives, it becomes that much more special. None were more spectacular from the last decade than Linsanity taking over New York, which began exactly a decade ago.

The love New York had for Jeremy Lin remains, and so does his for all the Knicks fans that supported him then and continue to have affinity for him today.

Jeremy Lin became an overnight sensation that lasted several weeks and brought excitement back to a despondent franchise, at least for a brief spell in 2012. It all started on February 4th, 2012 when Lin came off the bench to score 25 points on 10-of-19 shooting to go along with five rebounds and seven assists.

That performance thrusted him into the starting lineup and ignited a burst of seven wins in a row and 10 of their next 13, with Jeremy Lin pouring in All-Star numbers throughout that span. Those games were absolute magic for Knicks fans.

Even with Jeremy Lin no longer in the league and far removed from his time with the Knicks, Linsanity lives on.
