Since suffering a devastating knee injury earlier this month, not a lot has been heard about New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis. Apart from the announcement that he will be out at least 10 months to recover from it, his recovery is unknown and it remains a mystery how he's doing now.

That changed recently though as the Latvian international was seen outside a hospital in downtown New York without crutches and is walking normally again. Only a brace on his left knee can be seen now, and he appeared to be in good spirits, based on the photos published by the New York Post.

Back on February 6th against the Milwaukee Bucks, Porzingis threw down a vicious dunk on Giannis Antetokounmpo, but immediately fell to the floor and was grimacing in pain. He exited the game and was sent to the hospital to undergo some tests, which revealed that he tore his ACL, and that he will miss the remainder of the season. The 7-foot-3 big man underwent surgery and is now on his road to recovery, with extensive rehabilitation on his knee expected to be done.

The Knicks have since lost nine of their last 10 games and will likely be headed to the lottery once again. In what started to be a promising season for the team turned to a nightmare for them, and it will be interesting to see what moves they will make in the offseason to place them in the best possible position to once again become a perennial playoff contender.
