As it so hilariously turns out, not even winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers made Quinn Cook a valuable member of the squad. So much so, that the team literally left the 27-year-old in the arena, as the team bus departed the venue to head back to the hotel.

Here are a couple of screenshots courtesy of SportsCenter with Cook commenting on teammate J.R. Smith's Instagram pleading for the bus to go back for him:

You could not have written a more side-splitting script for this.

We are, of course, joking about Cook's value for the Lakers. He may not have played a significant role for L.A. in the playoffs, but there's no denying that he has been a crucial part of the team. Moreover, every single player on the Lakers roster deserves a ring for their contributions to this championship. The mere fact that they've all sacrificed so much to be with the team in the bubble speaks volumes of their commitment to the ultimate goal.

It's just too bad that Cook was the one that got left by the bus.

There are no further reports on this story at the moment, so up until this point, we are unsure if the bus actually came back for Cook. Hopefully, someone in the squad took a second off of their celebrations to realize that they were literally missing one player on the bus. Sorry, Quinn, but this is just too funny.
