Andre Drummond's Los Angeles Lakers debut was cut short as he had to leave their game against the Milwaukee Bucks with a toe injury. After the game, Drummond explained what actually occurred.

Per Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation, Drummond shared that Bucks center Brook Lopez actually stepped on his foot, causing his entire toenail to unbuckle.

He's quite familiar with such injuries but this recent one was different.

It seems likely that Drummond will take some time off for his toe to heal up. Nevertheless, the big man is remaining positive after the whole ordeal.

In 14 minutes of action, Drummond logged in four points, one rebound, and two assists. Lakers fans would've loved to see more of their newest player. But alas, injuries are part of the game. And as Drummond remarked, he'll be back stronger than ever.

Drummond is the Lakers' latest prized possession after acquiring him from the waivers earlier this week. He's expected to help the Lakers keep their head above water while Anthony Davis and LeBron James are still out recovering from their respective injuries.

His rebounding, size, and knowledge of the game will aid the Purple and Gold on both ends of the floor. Head coach Frank Vogel himself is confident that once Drummond adjusts to his system, then he'll be one heck of a contributor.

While there hasn't been a posted timetable for Andre Drummond's return, Markieff Morris' comment on the matter isn't exactly reassuring.

But for now, Lakers fans need to remain patient. The Lakers still have a decent 30-18 record for fifth in the West. In no time, Drummond will suit back up again and this time, with star duo of James and Davis in the fold.
