The Los Angeles Lakers might be without Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram for the rest of the season, but it's likely that feel-good story and longtime G League guard Andre Ingram will be a silver lining on an otherwise disastrous 2018-19 season. The 33-year-old guard agreed to a 10-day deal with the team, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ingram has joined the team in Chicago prior to a Tuesday tilt against the Bulls.

Ingram, who initially made headlines when he received his first NBA call-up after playing most of his career in the minor leagues, will return to Los Angeles for a second stint with the team after spending the season with G League affiliate South Bay Lakers.

In a down year, the G League's all-time leader in 3-pointers made shot 35.5 percent from beyond the arc, but still was kept in the eyes of the NBA organization, who now offers him another opportunity.

Ingram had a rousing 19-point debut in his first NBA game and shot an excellent 47.1 percent from distance in his two lone games at the end of the Lakers' 2017-18 campaign.

This season has had little to celebrate for Lakers fans, but at least a familiar face in one of the good guys of the organization should bring Lakers faithful something to cheer for at the end of this otherwise lost 2018-19 campaign.
