When Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis publicly announced his desire to part ways with the New Orleans Pelicans in the middle of last season, he had one thing in mind — an NBA championship.

This summer, this long and dramatic saga finally came to an end with the six-time All-Star finally getting his wish.

In his mind, Davis believes that he is now one step closer to his ultimate dream now that he has teamed up with LeBron James and the Lakers.

Davis went on to reiterate that the primary motivation behind his decision to move to L.A. is to be able to reach the pinnacle of the sport.

According to the 6-foot-10 big man himself, he has every intention of winning a few titles for the Purple & Gold, as he hopes to add a few more championship banners in the Staples Center rafters.

Davis' move to Hollywood remains to be one of the biggest turn of events in this crazy offseason. However, his newly-formed partnership with the great LeBron James has been overshadowed by a couple of crazier developments.

The Lakers were already marked as favorites to win it all in the coming season, but by successfully acquiring the services of both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, the Lakers' cross-town rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, might just have a thing or two to say about that.

We're definitely in store for an ultimate battle of supremacy in Los Angeles — one that we have never seen in the history of these two franchises.
