After their thrilling victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis reluctantly visited his old locker room.

Apparently, head coach Alvin Gentry invited AD, who then said that he doesn't want any beef with his former teammates.

Last season was a tough year for the Pelicans. Weeks before the February trade deadline, Davis — who had been with the franchise for seven years — requested for a trade after declining to sign a contract extension.

The trade request became the hottest news during that time. The Lakers were the heavy favorites to arrange and seal a trade package for him, primarily due to LeBron James' friendship with him. However, the Pelicans organization was bent on not sending Davis to the Purple and Gold franchise, which led to even more controversies.

This made things awkward between Davis and the Pelicans. Requesting for a trade simply means that a player doesn't want to be part of his current squad anymore. Nonetheless, the delay forced Davis to stay longer and even play for New Orleans.

Thankfully, the deal with the Lakers pushed through in the summer. And on Wednesday night in Louisianna, Davis finally had a chance to patch things up with his former team. After all, it was nothing personal. Davis simply wanted a change that he believes will benefit his career.
