The Los Angeles Lakers are on a special mission this season, trying to capture an NBA title to honor the late Kobe Bryant. Following a 110-100 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 4, Anthony Davis was spotted wearing a shirt honoring the late legend and his five championship rings.

Following a quick interruption from a dog, Davis was keen to reveal how the Lakers have honored Bryant every game:

Via Ryan Ward:

“I for sure think about him all the time on and off the floor, but I just thought this was a dope shirt.”

“Not just me, but the entire team thinks about him the entire time. We say ‘Mamba on 3' after every timeout and every huddle knowing that he's with us. Knowing that we're not only playing for the organization but playing for him.”

The Lakers already have enough motivation to make it as far as they can these playoffs after missing the postseason the past six years. Los Angeles is also hoping to capitalize on the small window of an aging LeBron James, but winning it all in 2020 would be the ultimate way to honor Kobe Bryant, a perennial competitor and a winner that brought five titles to Los Angeles in 20 years.

Should James and Davis keep playing the way they have thus far, there will be very few things that can stop this Lakers train if they close out the series against the Houston Rockets on Saturday.
