LeBron James is still the best basketball player in the world, but it is still an adjustment for his new teammates to learn how to play with him as Brandon Ingram notes. Ingram told Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints that he and some of his Los Angeles Lakers teammates have fallen into the habit of watching James too much late in games.

“We slip into that, but also we trust the ball in his hands also. We know he's going to make the right play for the team whether it's shooting the basketball whether it's passing the basketball.”

Ingram went on to discuss how he felt the Lakers could improve at avoiding this trap and he told Ward of ClutchPoints:

“I think we just have to do a better job of being ready. Moving without the basketball and moving to open spots, so we can be in open areas to make plays.”

It's no surprise that the Lakers are still adjusting to their world-class teammate. It comes with the territory. The good news is that the Lakers are still playing well despite the fact that they are still developing team chemistry. Los Angeles is still sitting pretty at 11-8 after starting the season on a three-game winning streak.

For all of the doom and gloom that was cast over Staples Center in the first couple weeks of the season, the ship looks to be sailing in the right direction. The hope is that Ingram and the Lakers work through some of these bad habits during the regular season and they enter the playoffs playing their best basketball.
