The Los Angeles Lakers have waived Briante Weber, Vander Blue and Travis Wear, the team announced Saturday.

The Lakers waived these three to trim their roster to 15 just a few days before the start of the regular season.

Weber has seen the most significant NBA playing time recently of the three, playing for four different teams over the last two seasons, the Grizzlies, Heat, Warriors and Hornets. The 6-foot-2 points guard has averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 assists in his career while shooting 14.3 percent from three.

Blue has only played in five career NBA games, three with the Celtics and two with the Lakers back in 2014-15. He has regularly lit up the now G League since then but will still have to wait to get a real chance in the NBA.

Wear is a local product out of UCLA who only saw real minutes during the 2014-15 season with the New York Knicks. He appeared in 51 games, averaging 3.9 points and 2.1 rebounds while shooting 36.7 percent from downtown.

A couple players rounding out the final spots on the Lakers roster for next season include Alex Caruso, who Lonzo Ball has said he is a big fan of, Josh Hart, Tyler Ennis and Thomas Bryant.

The Lakers open their season next Thursday against the L.A. Clippers.
