The Los Angeles Lakers have undergone much change to their roster this offseason that has put forth an entirely new vibe around the organization.

During a recent interview with Kevin Brockway of Gainesville.com, veteran forward Corey Brewer voiced much optimism about the Lakers' long-term outlook:

“We’ve got Lonzo Ball, some good young talent coming in so we should have a better year,” Brewer said. “The future is going to be bright. Magic is great, he’s doing a good job and Rob Pelinka, who has come in and took over as the GM, they’re both doing a great job and they are getting the pieces they want.”

The new management has made several key additions to their roster headed by the selection of former UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick in this year's draft. Prior to that, Los Angeles had moved guard D'Angelo Russell in a deal that landed them former All-Star center Brook Lopez.

On top of that, the Lakers have also positioned themselves to potentially add two max contract players next summer with the likes of LeBron James, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and DeMarcus Cousins all possibly hitting the open market as unrestricted free agents.

Unlike the last several seasons, there is now a sense of direction in place with the franchise that has created a strong level of optimism about what may lie ahead. This upcoming season could mark the beginning of something special developing in Los Angeles over the next few years.
