The Los Angeles Lakers are set to face a very interesting offseason — one that will have a significant impact in their quest to defend their title for next term. L.A.'s front office have more than a few key personnel decisions that need to be made, and for his part, veteran swingman Danny Green believes that so long as LeBron James and Anthony Davis remain at the helm, the future will continue to shine bright for the champs.

Green acknowledged how its going to be a tricky offseason for the Lakers in terms of handling contract talks with their incoming free agents, but the 33-year-old is adamant that at the end of the day, building around LeBron and AD should not prove to be too difficult a task:

“It’s going to be tough because we have so many free agents, with 10 guys that are free agents,” Green said, via Adam Zagoria of Forbes. “Trying to bring everybody back and reconstruct the contracts, it’s going to be difficult, but when you have the nucleus of LeBron and AD — if they bring back AD — that’s pretty much what you need. You don’t need much else around them.”

For his part, Green will be entering the final season of the two-year deal he signed with the Lakers last summer. Unlike most of his other teammates, the three-time NBA champ can rest easy this offseason knowing how his immediate future with L.A. remains secure — for the time being, at least.

Green also admitted that as early as now, the Lakers have already set their sights on going back-to-back next season. In his mind, Green believes that they are more than capable of doing so:

“For sure, I think we can definitely get one more for sure.” Green stated confidently.

Now that's the type of confidence you'd expect from a vet like Green, who himself proved to be a key player for the Lakers in what turned out to be an historic title run for the squad.
