Could the Los Angeles Lakers reunite with Matt Barnes? Well, if you're asking new head coach Darvin Ham, it looks like he would love the former NBA forward on his coaching staff.

In a video that is now going viral online, Ham and Barnes met at the Las Vegas Summer League and had some fun talking with each other. At one moment, Ham shared a funny recruiting pitch for Barnes, noting how he is exactly the type of guy they need to help straighten the players when they are acting out.

“That's what we need. Somebody to slap the sh*t out of somebody,” Ham said while laughing.

The Lakers' fanbase are well too familiar with this “Barnes beating the s**t” out of someone storyline (*cough* Derek Fisher *cough*); however, it is not surprising that Darvin Ham loves that kind of attitude.

Ham is known for his no-nonsense attitude and his strictness to instill discipline on players. He also has the competitive drive, and players can expect him to be honest and really push them to the best of his abilities. That is why he landed the Lakers' head coaching gig.

It remains to be seen if we will actually see Barnes as part of the Lakers in one way or another, but hey, it'll definitely be interesting to seem get a role and interact with players. while slapping somebody is unlikely, it is worth remembering that he is a really vocal player who doesn't know how to hold back his thoughts.
