Anthony Davis re-injured his Achilles earlier this week, causing him to be sidelined for multiple weeks for the Los Angeles Lakers.
While there isn't a definitive timetable for Davis to return, Frank Vogel doesn't seem too optimistic that Davis will return before the All-Star break, via ClutchPoints' Michael Corvo.

Since early in the season, Davis has been dealing with a nagging calf issue that the forward said was bothering him. The injury ended up becoming an Achilles issue, which is a concerning injury for the Lakers long-term.

After missing back-to-back games against the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this month due to the Achilles ailment, Davis returned to action on February 12 against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, in Los Angeles' showdown with the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, Davis would re-aggravate the injury, prompting him to exit the game early.
Davis would grab for his Achilles area after driving toward the basket with the ball. The All-Star forward wasn't contacted much, which led many to believe he could have torn his Achilles, similar to what Kevin Durant did in the 2019 NBA Finals.
Luckily for the Lakers, Davis didn't tear anything, but he will miss an extended period of time. With what Los Angeles is calling a calf strain, Davis is going to miss at least two-to-three weeks of action. Though, seeing that the All-Star break is early next month, there's no reason to bring him back until after the All-Star Game. If the Lakers were smart, they'd sideline the superstar big man until he's one-hundred percent healthy, even if that means he's out until the playoffs.
