Rap mogul and BIG3 founder Ice Cube has recently chimed in on the whole LeBron James versus Kobe Bryant debate. With the Los Angeles Lakers recently acquiring the services of James, inevitable comparisons between himself and one of the greatest Lakers of all time have been endless.
However, Ice Cube believes that there is no point in debating. To him, each of these two legends has their own story to tell.

It is no secret that LeBron's hate train includes a lot of Kobe “die-hard fans.” Perhaps these supporters feel threatened that James might overtake Bryant's accomplishments in the league, and by doing so prove himself as the better player among the two. James joining the Lakers just made matters worse for them.
Ice Cube is having none of this. He stresses the fact that these are two different players that have set out on different paths. Although both may have had the same objective of becoming one of the best to have ever played the game, their routes could not have been any more different.
While Bryant spent his entire career with the Lakers, putting an emphasis on loyalty, LeBron has a different barometer for success. For the latter, it's about pushing himself outside his comfort zone.
Nevertheless, to Cube, there is no point hating on James if you're a Bryant fan, and vice versa. The fact of the matter is that LeBron James is now a Laker, and he will do everything in his power to further the team's, as well as his own legacy while he is here.
