Despite his summer move to the west coast, Lakers star LeBron James continues to be haunted by the ghost of former Celeveland Cavaliers teammate J.R. Smith. This is exactly what happened on Saturday, when a Smith look-a-like showed up outside Staples Center in the team's home debut of the season.

To be fair, the impersonator looked a lot like Smith. He had the facial hair and the sleeve tattoos down, and even came in a Smith Cavs jersey. He even brought a Tyronn Lue look-a-like along, as the two stole the scene outside the arena.

What makes this even more hilarious is that the two were chanting, “come back LeBron!” They were obviously referencing James' recent departure from the Cavs to the Lakers over the summer.

We're not sure if James saw these two on his way into Staples Center, but the new Lakers cornerstone star did have a remarkable game nonetheless. LeBron finished with 24 points on 9-of-22 shooting, one three-pointer, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block, and only one turnover in 39 minutes played.

Unfortunately for James, the Houston Rockets foiled his home debut as the Lakers fell to James Harden and co. 124-115. This follows their opening night loss against the Portland Trail Blazers, bringing the Lakers to 0-2 to start the new campaign.

Back in Cleveland, J.R. Smith was able to make his first appearance of the season on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was a forgettable cameo for Smith who played only four minutes, missing his one and only attempt from deep. Smith is expected to play more of a reserve role for the Cavs this season, so good games for the veteran will come far and few in between.
