Los Angeles Lakers veteran Jared Dudley appeared to require some assistance in his Thanksgiving festivities. The 35-year-old was in the mood to play one particular board game, and he decided to take to social media to try out his luck.

Dudley had a Scattergories itch that he desperately needed to scratch, and he let the whole world know about it. He wasn't shy about it either:

Fortunately for him, a random Twitter user heeded his call, and made quite a generous offer:

While there appears to have been no public exchange between Dudley and the friendly fan, the Lakers forward actually reached out to the man:

Dudley wasn't kidding around, and he went out of his way to borrow the board game from his new-found friend. As a thank you, Dudley will send over a signed jersey to the generous fan. Dudley himself confirmed it on Twitter:

That's a Thanksgiving tale for the books. I guess.

Such is the world we live in these days, that you could literally get virtually anything you want if you ask for it. That is, of course, if you're an NBA champ, or at least possess a celebrity status with equal stature.

All jokes aside, though, this was an awesome gesture from a random fan. For his part, the Lakers vet LeBron James, Lakers dominate Heat to take 2020 NBA titleis indeed a man of the people. We're sure he enjoyed his Thanksgiving and all the board game action that was had. Let's just hope he doesn't forget to return the game in the morning.
