Once upon a time, there was an esteemed Los Angeles-based sports owner whose slogan was “Just win, baby!” Former Raiders owner Al Davis may be gone, but it is a sentiment that still resonates today.

Current Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee spoke on the team's 15-game winning streak, stating that–for all intents and purposes–winning takes care of everything:

The Lakers improved to 17-2 after their win over the Washington Wizards on Friday, and the additions of Anthony Davis, Danny Green and Avery Bradley have helped to transform L.A. into one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. The Lakers rank first in defensive rating, according to Basketball-Reference.

McGee has quietly been one of the most impactful players on the roster. After re-signing with the Lakers this summer, McGee is averaging 7.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in just about 17 minutes per game. He has also been tremendously efficient on both sides of the ball, posting a +24 net rating.

Of course, McGee still likes to keep things light. He credited his 15-point, 11-rebound performance on Friday to some pregame reggae music:

McGee is just one of the veterans that have made their mark in turning this Laker franchise around. Green and Bradley have carved out their own roles, and Dwight Howard has excelled off the bench.

Of course, the success starts and ends with the fantastic duo of Davis and LeBron James. While LeBron had initially stated that the Lakers would run their offense through Davis–who is the team's leading scorer–he is making another bid for an MVP award this season.

The Lakers are in synch and the stars and playing like stars. Winning does seem to cure everything.
