After watching his Los Angeles Lakers teammate LeBron James suit up in the Drew League, Kendrick Nunn teased everyone that he's also playing in the pro-am competition.

While he probably thought it would get Lakers and NBA fans excited to see him in action, especially after an injury-riddled campaign, that wasn't the case at all. In fact, the 26-year-old guard got roasted in the reply section of his tweet.

The reasoning is simple: why would he play in the Drew League after not even featuring for the Lakers for one whole season?

Kendrick Nunn missed the 2021-22 campaign due to a bone bruise in his knee. While everyone thought he could return soon, it never materialized due to some setbacks in his recovery. With that said, it is not surprising why his announcement came as a shock to a lot of people.

It would probably be good for Kendrick Nunn to test out some game action to check the level of his conditioning, though it's hard to blame others for their reactions. The scoring guard is coming off an injury, and should he sustain another setback on his road back to the NBA hardwood, it'll be an even bigger problem for him and the Purple and Gold.

If Nunn pushes through his plan of playing in the Drew League, though, Lakers fans can only hope that he won't suffer any setback and the appearance will only ramp up his return to 100 percent health.
