The Rising Stars game will take place on Friday night, and ahead of the game, Kyle Kuzma has called his shot, and he wasn't shy about his goals. He told reporters he wants payback on Joel Embiid after he missed a dunk on him earlier this year, and that he's going for 40 points.

Being a rookie, it doesn't seem like the back-to-backs are affecting him at all. He has played each of the last two nights as the Lakers took on the New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves, and is now ready to play heavy minutes in the All-Star exhibition.

“48,” responded Kuzma when asked how many minutes he wants to play. Then, when informed that it was only a 40 minute game, college basketball style, Kuzma responded with, “Oh its a 40 minute game? Then all 40. Two 20 minute halfs? 40 minutes.”

After playing 27 minutes against the Pelicans a couple nights ago, he only played 19 minutes against the Timberwolves last night. Kuzma has played 43 minutes in a game a couple of times this season, but so far this month he hasn't gotten into the 30's.

In terms of points scored, Kuzma is used to having high scoring games. Earlier this year against the Rockets he was able to put up 38 points.

If he were to score 40 points tonight that would tie him for the second highest total ever with Kenneth Faried who did it in 2013. Kevin Durant holds the record who scored 46 points in 2009.

After not getting a ton of playing time early on this season Kuzma has really caught on the last couple of months. He is averaging 15.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in just 29.5 minutes per game.

He looks like he is a big part of the Lakers future, and this is a good chance to put on a show in front of his home fans tonight.
