The Los Angeles Sparks hosted the Seattle Storm on Thursday night in a regular-season matchup. Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving made a surprise appearance in the crowd, which only added more fire to the recent trade rumors linking him to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kyrie did have a bucket hat on, but it's not as if he was hiding his presence during the game (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

For what it's worth, Irving recently decided to opt into the final year of his deal with the Nets this coming season. However, this does not guarantee that he's going to be playing in Brooklyn in 2022-23. In fact, there has been a lot of talk of the Nets potentially sending him to the Lakers in a blockbuster deal that would see Kyrie reunite with his former teammate, LeBron James.

Irving is a very smart individual, and it's no coincidence that he's made an appearance in an LA game here. There's no doubt that he was well aware that the cameras would find him in the crowd, and I'm willing to bet that he knew that this would spark more rumors about his proposed move to Hollywood.

Be that as it may, the Lakers and the Nets haven't exactly found a common ground in a potential Kyrie trade. Recent reports suggest that a third team could get involved, with the San Antonio Spurs now being linked to a multi-team deal. Irving's move to the Lakers is anything but certain, but it seems like he's doing his part to stir the pot, so to speak.
