Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis had high praise for Kyle Kuzma following Tuesday night's 123-115 road victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Kuzma came through in the clutch for Los Angeles, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to push his team ahead:

Kuzma logged 25 minutes in Tuesday's matchup against the Suns, finishing with 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field (3-of-6 from beyond the arc), four rebounds and one steal. Davis, who led the Lakers with 24 points and 12 rebounds, was thrilled to see his teammate playing well

“I just told him, ‘Welcome back,’” Davis said, via Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times. “… He came up huge for us, made some big shots, time after time. We were so happy for him.”

Davis wasn't the only Laker raving about Kuzma's performance, though. James (19 points and 11 assists) knew it was only a matter of time:

“Only a matter of time and it came at the right time,” James said, via the Los Angeles Times. “… It was great to have the Kuz that we know he’s capable of.”

Kuzma, who missed the first four games of this season due to an ankle injury, noted that his rhythm is getting better:

“Every single game I felt rhythm and timing getting more and more back,” Kuzma said. “I think tonight, just felt like how I usually play.”

There seems to be a nice chemistry brewing within the Lakers lineup, and Kuzma says they all believe in one another:

“I've just got teammates who believe in me,” Kuzma said, via ESPN. “We all believe in each other. We're a team and we pick each other up.”

The Lakers improved to 8-2 with Tuesday night's win. They'll close out their current back-to-back set on Wednesday nght with a matchup against the Golden State Warriors. Tip-off inside Staples Center is set for 10:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
