LeBron James was certainly a sight for sore eyes on the court for fans of the purple and gold. Although the Los Angeles Lakers ended up losing to the Boston Celtics on Friday night, to have their frontman back was still a win in of itself.
But after the game, the Lakers star admitted he felt good but still remains cautious as he recovers from an injury that kept him on the sidelines for more than half a month.
Via Spectrum SportsNet:
“I felt okay,” said LeBron after the Lakers loss. “Obviously being out two-and-a-half weeks, I just felt kind of like a rookie again kind of just being away from the game, but excited. Physically, I felt okay. Good enough to know that I could trust my body and play tonight. I'm more looking forward to seeing how I feel tomorrow when I wake up. That is the tell-tale sign if I'm moving in the right direction with my injury.”
King James has been out of the Lakers lineup since November 2 with an abdominal strain and was a game time decision ahead of their Celtics contest. While it's a great sign that he was able to suit up, the injury may not be 100% recovered just yet.
Hopefully LeBron woke up feeling good as the Lakers try to climb out from below .500 with their upcoming road game against the Detroit Pistons.
