Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James says there were some “eerie” Kobe Bryant numerologies during Saturday's win over the Sacramento Kings.

LeBron talked about it with Lakers reporters on Monday after practice, via Dave McMenamin of ESPN:

In the meantime, there continue to be signs of Kobe Bryant everywhere from the KB and Nos. 8 and 24 decals affixed to the Lakers' practice court over the weekend to random bits of numerology, as evidenced in L.A.'s 129-113 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.

“The fact that we scored 81 points … in the first 24 minutes, how eerie that was, and then both teams' combined points were 242, was like the 2 and the 2, 2-4,” LeBron James said. “There was like some weird stuff going on.”

The passing of Bryant is going to take a long time to get over. The Lakers players were very emotional on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers at Staples Center during LA’s tribute to Kobe.

Los Angeles has the best record in the Western Conference. However, nothing would make this season more special than to see James and Anthony Davis lead the Lakers to banner No. 17 for Kobe. Both LeBron and Davis were very close with Bryant, so it’s not a stretch to say they are going to dedicate the rest of the season to Kobe.

The Lakers retired Bryant’s No. 8 and 24 jerseys last year. He will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer as part of an incredible class when inductees are announced later this year.
