Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James gave fans quite the scare on Sunday when he fell down after tweaking an ankle.
Early in the second quarter as he was trying to position himself for the offensive rebound against the New Orleans Pelicans, James appeared to roll his left ankle. He immediately fell to the floor, pushing the Lakers to call a timeout to get him checked. James re-laced his shoe and was able to stand up, but it's clear his ankle was in pain as he tested it out on the bench.

Fortunately, Lakers fans were able to quickly breathe a sigh of relief after LeBron James stayed in the game following the time out. While he did seem bothered initially, he was able to shake it off.
It was definitely a lucky break for the Lakers since occurrences like that could have led to a more serious ankle injury for LeBron. Good thing it is not too severe and the superstar forward was able to play though it.
The Purple and Gold can't afford to lose James to injury as they try to keep themselves in the play-in spots to contend for a playoff berth. LeBron is the only one keeping their hopes alive, and it would be really difficult for them to string wins in this final stretch of the regular season without their best player.
