Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso brought the thunder on Sunday night during Game 2 of the Western Conference finals, and the bench was loving it.

The Lakers led 45-36 a little over midway through the second quarter when Rajon Rondo corralled a loose ball and fed it ahead to Caruso in transition.

Caruso finished the play with authority, gathering and slamming past Nuggets forward Jerami Grant.

The Lakers' bench erupted, with LeBron James and JR Smith sprinting over to chest-bump Caruso after Nuggets coach Michael Malone called timeout. Smith's effort proved less successful, though.

Alex Caruso has made it a habit of surprising opponents with his bounce, and he provided yet another highlight-reel play on Sunday against the Nuggets.

The former Texas A&M star has seen increased minutes and productivity during the NBA restart in the absence of Avery Bradley, and he has made a real impact for the Lakers on both ends of the floor.
