LeBron James lives up to his “King James” nickname. While that is mostly because of his dominant play on the court in the past two decades, his pregame outfit choice in the Los Angeles Lakers' 2023-24 NBA Season opener against the Denver Nuggets also helps.

The Lakers forward turned heads on Tuesday as he entered the Ball Arena in Denver clad in Louis Vuitton outfit. From head to toe, James represented the luxury brand pretty well. Overall, his attire cost nearly $28,000, per TMZ.

“The 19-time All-Star forward is covered in Louis V … from the $5k damoflage tweed chic collarless jacket and $1,250 pants to the $1,220 LV checker derby kicks,” the TMZ report stated. “He didn't stop there — the Speedy Bandouliere 40 he's holding comes with an $11k price tag, and the briefcase will set the Average Joe back another $9,500.”

Of course fans are simply in shock and awe of LeBron James' outfit choice. While the usual critics are there trying to fault him for that expensive gesture, others defended him and simply expressed their amazement. After all, it's not really a surprise for a player to wear such luxury brand, especially someone like the Lakers superstar who has a net worth of $1 billion.

“Cool. I'd be rocking some nice stuff with a net worth around a billion,” one fan commented on TMZ's post about the story.

Another commenter shared, “With consistent hard work that man deserved everything.” A third supporter had the same sentiment, noting: “He can afford it!”

A $28,000 price tag for an outfit is certainly crazy, but hey, this is LeBron we're talking about.
