To say that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was delighted by Ohio State's demolishing of the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday night would be an understatement. In fact, the three-time NBA champ was so pumped about the big win, that he went absolutely savage on rookie teammate Moe Wagner.
Ohio native James is obviously a big supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and he was in a very festive mood following Saturday's victory. Unfortunately for Wagner — who himself went to the University of Michigan and played for the Wolverines basketball team for three season prior to turning pro — he was on the receiving end of James' celebratory smack talk.
The Lakers star started off mildly by simply asking his teammate how he was handling the loss, to which Wagner had absolutely nothing to come back with.
However, James had to take it a step further.
For obvious reasons, James added more insult to injury by replacing the “M”‘s on his tweet with “X”‘s.
LeBron was having an absolute field day following his team's all-important W, and could not help but rub salt to the wounds of Wagner.
For his part, Wagner has not figured in the Lakers' rotation thus far. The 21-year-old has only made a single two-minute appearance for the team all season long, when he took the floor for L.A. against the Orlando Magic on November 17. The 6-foot-11 big man missed his only attempt (a three-pointer) that evening, and has yet to even record a counting statistic in his career.
